3 Vehicle Crash On I-75 Near Manatee Ave In Bradenton
MANATEE COUNTY - Florida Highway Patrol reported a weather-related 3 car crash on Interstate 75 Friday night.
The crash took place as a 29 year old woman from Sarasota was driving a sedan southbound in the outside lane of I-75 just south of State Road 64 (Manatee Avenue).
As the woman was driving south, her vehicle was followed by a pickup truck driven by a 20 year old man from Sarasota, who was in-tern being followed by an 18 year old woman from Venice, driving a sedan.
At approximately 9:30:00 PM weather conditions deteriorated, and both the 29 year old Sarasota woman, and the 20 year old man from Sarasota slowed their vehicles.
However the 18 year old woman from Venice failed to slow down and collided with the rear of the pick up truck driven by the 20 year old man from Sarasota.
The force of the collision pushed the pickup truck forward causing it to crash into the rear of the sedan driven by the 29 year old woman from Sarasota.
After being rear-ended, the sedan rotated clockwise and traveled off the roadway driving through a ditch and crashing into a concrete barrier, finally coming to a stop facing to the north.
Luckily, all three drivers suffered only minor injuries.
