Pedestrian In Bradenton Dies After Being While Crossing US 41
BRADENTON FL - Florida Highway Patrol announced a man has died after being hit by a vehicle on U.S. 41 Monday morning.
The pedestrian accident took place as a 72-year-old man from Bradenton was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of U.S. 41 near the intersection with 58th Ave West.
Ast the man was walking across the lanes outside of the crosswalk, an unknown vehicle was approaching the man from the north.
At 6:45:00 AM the unknown vehicle crashed into the man, and continued on without stopping, then fled the scene of the crash.
Manatee County EMS pronounced the man deceased at the scene of the crash.
Florida Highway Patrol has asked anyone with knowledge of the hit-and-run crash to call them at 239-938-1800 or *FHP (*347) on a cellular phone.
